Quality Forming, LLC and technology
Maintaining
a state-of-the-art
facility is
required for
anyone who
wishes to
remain at
the
forefront of
aerospace.
Quality Forming, LLC
regularly
reviews
advancements
in the
field, and
seeks to
adopt the
most
promising of
technologies
into usage.
Whether one
is talking
about
CAD/CAM, or
utilizing
document
imaging in
the quest
for a
paperless
office, QFI
recognizes
that
technology
can be
leveraged.
Computer
Systems
With
multiple
servers, a
myriad of
workstations and
other technology
related
equipment, QFI
employs a
full-time
Information
Technology
specialist that
ensures
system reliability, adherence to
various best
practices for
computing, and
technological
compliance with ITAR and
other
regulations that
affect knowledge
transfer.
From order inception through shipping,
all orders and parts are tracked through
the ERP software on
the QFI computer
network.
Additionally,
all paperwork is
scanned and
included in the
QFI document
imaging
database,
allowing for
rapid access to
all information,
from quotes to the
shipping
receipt.
Custom databases
are further leveraged to
provide access
to key points of
information
regarding every
major facet of
the company.
Employees on the
shop floor enter
information at
each phase,
allowing each
office worker to
provide or
access up-to-the-minute
information on quotations, job delivery schedules, production planning, job status,
engineering updates, manufacturing costs, material/control and inventories. This
level of
interaction with
technology enables
QFI to provide superior customer
service and satisfaction.
CAD/CAM
resources
Quality Forming
has multiple
staffers
available for
CAD/CAM
engineering, and
the hardware and
software to
allow QFI to
meet your needs.
QFI's CAD/CAM

heavily
experienced with
Catia,
Unigraphics, and
Mastercam.
Additionally,
the CMM and
Leica machines
are ready for
usage in
model based
definition,
sampling,
digitizing, and
inspection,
using the
standard
industry
programs of PC-DMIS
and Veri-SURF.
The QFI
engineers are
able to open
almost any file
used within the
industry,
including the
standard file
formats of Catia,
UG, IGES,
STEP, DXF,
AutoCAD, etc.
Users of
mainstream
CAD/CAM programs
such as Mastercam or
Catia, as well
as many of the
other programs,
can be assured
that the QFI
team has the ability to
read, design and translate
the raw or
native data sets
in order to program
